Subject: Is Limited Atonement Bibical? |
Bible Note: Greetings Hank! I most certainly agree! The "logic" of reformed theology concerning limited atonement is flawed, since Luke 19:10, John 4:42, 1 Tim. 4:10, Hebrews 2:9, Romans 5:6, Romans 5:18, 1 John 2:2, Isaiah 53:6, and 2 Peter 2:1 do expressly state what they state, without any reformed lens to look through.. I continue to hold that seemingly restrictive verses can be logically fit into an unlimited scenario much more easily than universal references can be made to fit into a limited atonement scenario. The verses themselves are not irreconciliable, but man's extreme branches of theology that claim to be based on these verses are irreconciliable. What do you know, another thread on Election! I needn't have to go to the poll booth anymore! Just come to the StudyBibleForum, where one can seemingly cast their vote and witness an Election seemingly every day! :-) Blessings to you, Makarios |
