Bible Note: Hi, Kalos, I view theology as man's understanding of God. Theology is equal to religion while it is often defined as the study of religion and/or the study of God. I prefer not to know OF God but to have a relationship with Him and rely totally on divine revelation. Theology offers questionable theories on Salvation (where a one time confession and repentance is taught), being born again, Holy Ghost, and forgiveness. It heavily relies on the findings of man rather than revelation from God. Theology also encourages the research of man's findings rather than a personal relationship with God Who has all the answers about everything. I separate theology from reality because it deals with what man thinks God is about and reality is what the Spirit says. I don't believe that theology is all wrong, although very limiting, some of it is in line with the Truth. However, why deal with something that has a lot of holes in it when I can have a relationship with God and get the whole truth? When I don't know the answer to biblical questions, I seek God for the answer. I hesitate to go to websites and biblical scholastic findings for an answer. I don't want what man thinks, I want to KNOW God. I do believe that after God has given an answer it's okay to see what others say about the topic. This way you will already have the truth and won't be deceived by someone else's theory or belief. Because the Holy Ghost is our divine teacher and the known fallicies of theology, I am saying that one can have a healthy relationship with God without heavily relying on theological findings.
