Bible Note: Angel, you presented two very good points (among others): 1) being sanctified (separated) and 2) letting the Light of Christ be seen of others. I remember before I came to Christ, people would come try to tell me about getting saved and they looked just like me, as far as how they dressed (excessive jewelry, body piercings, tattoos, etc.). I don't even have a tattoo, imaging how much of a stumbling block it was for me to see Christ in them. I see now that some churches have thrown away the "separation" and "be ye holy" teachings of God and have begun compromising to get the world's attention. We have to keep in mind that God says, ". . .with lovingkindness have I drawn you" and that's what will draw the world. The church is a place for sinners to come and get cleaned up. If everyone were turned away because of their sinful lifestyles, there would be no one in the body of Christ. But when they come, they need to be loved and taught, and the same Jesus who cleaned us up, will clean them up. WalkingTalkingBible |
