Bible Note: Brother EdB: This is a perfect example of what John was talking about. I've always believed that we are not witnessing to the world when we simply say "Jesus loves you!" It is truth, but in many cases it is just words until they see it practically touch their real day to day lives. Although these verses speak specifically of believers, I believe they can be applied to our actions toward unbelievers also. 1 John 3:16-18 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?
