Subject: Did Jesus die spiritually? |
Bible Note: If Jesus didn't die spiritually for our sins, then I have some sad, sad news for you... We will all be going to hell and dying for our own sins, and Jesus death on the cross was done for nothing. Jesus death on the cross was more of a spiritual death than a physical. He came down from Heaven in the form or disguise of a sinful man, and took our sins on his own body on the cross so we could be born out of sin into His righteousness. He became sin and when we are born again, we exchange our sin with Him for His righteousness. Rom 8:3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, The offering was done on the cross. Then, he decended into hell or the heart of the earth for three days. He went to hell and paid the price for our sin, so we wouldn't have to. There was no other way we could receive the new birth and be born again out of sin into His glorious rightousness. NWord ldylanette@yahoo.com |
