Subject: Did Jesus die spiritually? |
Bible Note: Do these towo statements contradict? "I believe that refers to the human soul of Jesus, as it would to our human souls, but not to Jesus' Divine essence which could not be lost for even a second with destroying the central doctrine of the Christian faith which is the Trinity." "A study of the doctrine of the "hypostatic union" is what is needed to understand why Jesus could not be separated from his Divine essence." The Holy Spirit is here to lead and guide us into ALL truth. God is not 'hiding' the truth. Truth is not a great hidden mystery. Although I know we will not see it all in this life because of our tendency to lean toward human understanding, that does not mean the truth is HIDDEN. The problem with us is that when we can't comprehend it with our carnal minds, we hold fast to our theology and call the lack of understanding a mystery! Jesus the Son of God went into Hades...God's Word says so....And since He was all God and all man, He was not seperated from His Divine Essence, and the Trinity was not destroyed. So the theology must be wrong because God's Word is not. If we are ever going to understand Divine truth, we must first acknowledge the Word says what it says and if it disturbsa our theology, the our theology should be the one that goes...not the Truth of the Word of God. If the Word says that Jesus Christ, the third person of the Trinity went into Hades, He did! And since the Trinity did not disipate, apparently the theology is wrong. Jesus, the Son of God, second person of the Godhead, went into Hades. And remained there three days! Then God the Father raised Him from the dead, because it was impossible that He should be held. "Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it." God bless |
