AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Corinthians 5:21 He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness]. |
Bible Question: Psalm 22 My God, My GOd-that it is finished. |
Bible Answer: IT IS AND WAS FINISHED! What was finished? The penalty for sin - the wrath of God against sin was satisfied by Jesus on the cross. He is our perfect sacrifice! Although unregenerate man is "dead" to God spiritually, he need not remain that way - this is the offer of GRACE, getting what we don't deserve and MERCY, not getting what we do deserve! However, God's WRATH remains as a certain reality for those who reject His salvation. Psalm 22:31 - "They will come and will declare His righteousness To a people who will be born, that He has performed it." Indeed HE has performed it! mommapbs |
