AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 14:5 Now I wish that all of you spoke in unknown tongues, but even more [I wish] that you would prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater [and more useful] than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he translates or explains [what he says], so that the church may be edified [instructed, improved, strengthened]. |

Bible Note: Scripture ... Gen 1:2, 26, 6:3, 18:16-33; Num 11:25-26, 27:18; Deu 32.6; Jos 5:13-15; Jud 13:14-231 Sam 10:10; Isa 63:7-14, 16, 64.8; Mal 1.6; 2.10 ... HamsteRulz, greetings ... jsut some Scripture. I can supply more. Many wise men use Strong's and other references, to help them in their study. I use Strong's to see what the orginial says ... because I do not understand the English translations. I need it to see if "word" is rhema (that which is or has been uttered by the living voice, thing spoken, word) as in John 15:7, or logos. Otherwise it is mumbo jumbo. I see God the Father in the Old Testament (Deu 32.6; Isa 63.16, 64.8; Mal 1.6; 2.10 I also see God the Spirit in the Old Testament (Gen 1:2, 6:3; Num 11:25-26, 27:18; 1 Sam 10:10; Isa 63:7-14) God the Son appears in the Old Testament (Gen 18:16-33; Jos 5:13-15; Jud 13:14-23). These are theophanic manifestations. The capstone is Gen 1:26. The Hebrew word is Elohim. El is singular for God, Elah means two and Elohim means more than two. Therefore the Trinity (Father, Son and Spirit) were in concert in the creation of man. Hope this helps, Searcher |
