AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 14:5 Now I wish that all of you spoke in unknown tongues, but even more [I wish] that you would prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater [and more useful] than the one who speaks in tongues, unless he translates or explains [what he says], so that the church may be edified [instructed, improved, strengthened]. |
Subject: Is tongues a matter of fact? |
Bible Note: Hello retxar, If I didn't know any better I would think you were starting to take a liking to me. Without a doubt, we are just spinning our wheels now. Without scripture, you're not likely to convince me that speaking with tongues is an, "evidence" and it's obvious that you're not planning on changing your view either. You ended with a good verse, but you cut it short my friend. God Bless! Aspilos I Cor. 14 21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord. 22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. |
