Subject: Does anyone still beleive that God talks |
Bible Note: I like we Brother Ed said earlier today, "Of course God speaks to us today but not to make us famous or add to the Bible or even as proof He exists God speaks to those that earnestly seek Him. When we are earnestly seeking God and God does respond His words are more precious that anything else you can imagine." I have no quarrel with that kind of "talking." The Holy Spirit is our ever present aid in properly understanding the Word of God. And -- praise the Lord -- per Hebrews 1:1-2a, "God, Who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son." Perhaps we ought to be careful how we use the word "talk" in relation to Diety, until we are clear what we mean by our terms. In Him, Doc |
