Subject: Does anyone still beleive that God talks |
Bible Note: Kalos - I think I would take issue point number one - learning to hear the voice of God is not taught as a Christian discipline that we must learn in order to live the optimal Christian life. I believe that living the optimal Christian life is dependant upon the Word; and the Word is also the voice of God. John 10 tells us that Jesus is the good Shepherd; we are the sheep of His pasture, we hear His voice and we follow Him. (John 10:27)What we "hear" from God in our day to day lives will NOT contradict what has been written - all is given for the glory of God and we are blessed when what He has given us is used according to His purpose, to edify the body. (Which could be individually or corporately) 1 Cor 14:1 instructs us to desire earnestly spiritual gifts, especially prophesy. I'd be interested to know how you "hear His voice." Blessings, mommapbs |
