Bible Question: Does anyone here think that God can call out and talk to anyone in these days? I do. Anyone else? |
Bible Answer: Of course God speaks to us today. As we develop a relationship with God our communications changes from communication through prayer and scripture into an interactive mode. That closeness doesn't come easily and it is even easier to let the things of this world get in between it. You have to fight flesh, and nearly everything else to draw that close. I think many expect God to tell them the future, what stock to buy high sell low, what sin their neighbor is involved in and what car to buy. But real communications with God usually end with you going out and ministering to a person that needs to have someone say to them God loves you and so do I. Of course God speaks to us today but not to make us famous or add to the Bible or even as proof He exists God speaks to those that earnestly seek Him. When we are earnestly seeking God and God does respond his words are more precious that anything else you can imagine. EdB |
