Bible Note: justme I truly enjoyed your reply In communicating with God, we prayerfully study and mediatate upon His word. We cannot know God's will for our life, if we neglect His word. After having spent time alone with God in prayer and in His word, we then remain silent and patiently wait for God speak to us. God oftentimes guides us by His Spirit. His Spirit speaks to our spirit, and we know that we have heard from Him, when it agrees with His word. Like you said: If we don't remain receptive to His voice, then how can we expect Him to guide and leads us. One last thing Not only does God guide us individually, but He also speaks to us and guides us corperately, IF we have ears to listen. RevĀ 2:7,11,17,29;3:6,13,22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches The church of which we are a part must also have a ear to hear what the Spirit is saying in our day. |
