AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 1:3 To these [men] He also showed Himself alive after His suffering [in Gethsemane and on the cross], by [a series of] many infallible proofs and unquestionable demonstrations, appearing to them over a period of forty days and talking to them about the things concerning the kingdom of God. |

Bible Note: Steve: I have been reading the posts to this thread and have come away with the same conclusion you have -- 'If you (nimrod2) had stated "a year long Sabbath", not using the word "day", I don't think there would have been much of a problem.' All of us would avoid needless confusion and misinterpretation of our postings if we used the English language more precisely and chose our words more carefully. The point of my posting is not to take sides in this debate. It is merely to emphasize that we have a greater chance of being understood if we say what we mean. Words do have meaning and we can only know what someone else means by what they say. |
