Bible Note: Greetings Mike! I would agree with you that Demas and Judas rejected Christ and were lost! However, I would disagree that a believer "loses" his salvation at the commission of every single sin. There are simply too many Scriptures that contradict this view. Eph. 2:8-9 clearly states that we are not saved by works, therefore we cannot be unsaved by works. Paul's argument in Gal. 3 clearly states the grace alone principle. He even calls any other view another gospel in chapter 1. Concerning Matt. 25, are you really saying that we are saved by works? In spite of Eph. 2:8-9? Have you also noticed that the judgement described in Matt. 25 occurs when Jesus returns and is a judgement of "nations", not individuals? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
