Subject: A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No |
Bible Note: Graceful By yielding Himself to take our sin upon Himself, He yielded Himself to Satan, but only until the time was up. Sin and Satan are two different things. While Satan may epitomize sin he is not sin. Nor is taking the sins of the world upon himself yielding to sin. The president of United States carries the worries of this nation upon his shoulder. It doesn’t mean he yields to them. Nor does it mean he becomes them. (some may argue that point) :-) Jesus was never in the hands of Satan, remember Jesus is God. For Jesus to have been in the hands of Satan would mean God was in the hands of Satan. For God to allow himself to be in the hands of Satan would mean it would have to relinquished His power to Satan. If God had done that do you think Satan would have given it back to allow him to resurrect accomplish the resurrection? Again don’t you see the total nonsense in this line of thought? Who set the price for sin? God of course and what was that price.? Death! Not being tortured in Hades by Satan. When the sacrifices were made each year they killed the lamb and then burned it. In fact it had to be killed very painlessly by having its jugular vein cut with a scary sharp knife. Most Lambs didn’t suffer any trauma and simply fell asleep. The point I’m making is, it wasn’t the torture but the death was what was required to cover the sins. Jesus the Lamb of God gave His life to pay for our sins. Somewhere in our twisted reasoning that doesn’t seem enough and we try to add to it, make it more agonizing than it really was. Then comes the WOF teachers and they have Jesus in hell with Satan heating red hot pokers and flogging our Lord. Nonsense! EdB |
