Subject: A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No |
Bible Note: Graceful Once again you go wandering. Yes, yes I know scripture is inspired, I know the writer of Psalm 22 which describes the crucifixion called himself a worm. However it is a long distance from calling oneself a worm and having someone else call you worm particularly when you are the God of Creation. In any case in the example I gave and in the one Radioman2 gave, Copeland was doing it in a descriptive way demeaning our Lord. Had he been quoting Psalm 22 and said Jesus called Himself a worm, that would been one thing. But it is entirely another when one says there was that worm Jesus hanging on the cross then being dragged kicking a s screaming into hell or “The situation seemed hopeless, as Jesus' "emaciated, poured out, little, wormy spirit is down in the bottom of that thing; and the devil thinks he's got Him destroyed." I hope you can see that there is a great distance from what psalm 22 is saying and what Copeland is saying. EdB |
