Subject: A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No |
Bible Note: I was just thinking of when I was a child and heard the gospel message. Jesus died for my sins. He paid the price so I would not have to.... Now that I see in scripture that He did indeed descend, the doctrine of Jesus going into ANY PART of Hell proves true. Now to say that one must realize that to be saved I do not agree with. I did not realize the depth, and still do not, of the price paid for my soul, and yet the Holy Spirit brought conviction upon me and revealed Jesus as my sin offering. I do not believe anyone, especially as a child, can even begin to comprehend the sufferings of the cross much less 'descending' and being seperated from the Father. So I do not agree that believing Jesus descended into hell is not criteria for salvation. The fact that she has retracted this part of the statement is good. Summation...to believe Jesus paid the price for my sins is absolutely necessary for salvation. The understanding of the depth of that message can, and usually does, come after salvation. God bless |
