Bible Note: Who is John MacArthur? I hope you read Romans chapter 6 on your way to Romans chapter 10 so you could see the importance of baptism to spiritual life. Paul had just spent three days in prayer, he met Jesus on the road to Damascus, he now knew who Jesus was and was ready to do what ever Jesus wanted him to do. The gospel of Mat. 1:21 says his name shall be called Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins. Paul was calling on the name of the Lord, atleast there is no doubt in my mind, what ever point you wanted to make I would ask was Paul saved in his sins or from his sins ie. washed away? Belief, repentance, water baptism and the infilling of the Holy Ghost put us in the body of Christ. |
