1 | More than one god? | 1 Cor 8:5 | Morant61 | 130295
Greetings Tara! Brad asked you a very good question. Do you believe that there is more than one god? If so, that is polytheism! And, it would be in direct contradiction to the words of Jehovah in Isaiah, where He says time and time again that there is 'no other god besides Him'. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

(John 10:34) Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? (2Corinthians 4:4) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. THERE IS BY NATURE ONLY ONE GOD, John 8:58 and Exodus 3:14. There is only One God, and He is "the I AM". You may call anything god-small-g but by the Nature of God, there is ONLY ONE! Thank you! |

3 | More than one god? | 1 Cor 8:5 | Morant61 | 130344
Greetings Roger! I'm not sure if you are agreeing or disagreeing! :-) The point of my question to Tara is simply this: God makes it very clear in Isaiah that there are no other gods. Yet, the JW's teach that there are in fact other gods. So, they are false teachers. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

There is only One God, by His Very Holiness! He is the "I AM". The catholics teach three gods, the mormons teach that each man will be a god with a planet of virgins! Thank you!

ROGER459, You wrote "... The catholics teach three gods..." WRONG! The Catholics do not teach three gods. They teach the One Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. "The Trinity is One. We do not confess three Gods, but one God in three persons, the "consubstantial Trinity". The divine persons do not share the one divinity among themselves but each of them is God whole and entire: "The Father is that which the Son is, the Son that which the Father is, the Father and the Son that which the Holy Spirit is, i.e. by nature one God."84 In the words of the Fourth Lateran Council (1215), "Each of the persons is that supreme reality, viz., the divine substance, essence or nature." http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p1s2c1p2.htm#253 Emmaus |
