John:Thank you for responding to me, that was kind of you. But Then I will ask you. Do you believe in grave sleep? Also, do you believe in a body, soul , and spirit or just a body and soul, or body and spirit. This has been three issues I have never seen on the forum. I hope things are ok for you, you are very bright and I respect your knowledge. Justme |

OK, I got a break to wipe the sweat off. 1. Do I believe in grave sleep? 2. Do I believe in a body, soul , and spirit or just a body and soul, or body and spirit. Regarding "grave sleep", to be frank, I hav'nt given it much thought. When I consider my own eventual death (should the Lord tarry) I am put in mind of 2 Cor 5:8. "we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord." What is your definition of "grave sleep" (sounds rather morbid, don't you think)? And what scriptures suggest that such a state even exists? On your 2nd question, again, though not completely ignorant, must confess to having but a partial understanding. I do know that the triune nature of man was considered heretical by the early church but it has been awhile since I read about it and will need to refresh my memory regarding the particulars. John |

3 | Whats up with Judgement, calvinists plz? | Rom 9:21 | justme | 62010 | ||
John: In several places Paus referes to those who are asleep in the Lord. 1 Cor.15:51, is one place that refers to this. I find a problem with the idea as what about those bodys that have been destroyed by fire, by accident or for cremation. I do not mean it in a morbid way, it is a theology I have read about. the question of body, soul, and spirit is called a tricodomy and body and spirit or soul is a bicodomy of the three to two. Most people I know believe in two. I don;t want you to work up a sweat over this, but these questions have not been dealy with before, I don;t think. Thanks. justme |
