1 | Whats up with Judgement, calvinists plz? | Rom 9:21 | Hank | 61429
John Reformed, if you were speaking to Mr. Lockman, you would be communicating with the dead since Dewey Lockman has been dead for years. Two more points, John. [1] I have explained to the new user JRdoc in full detail the problem this forum has had and continues to have with these unending and unproductive Calvinist debates, so I neither solicit nor need your telling me what to do and how to conduct myself on this forum. [2] I see absolutely no evidence that you, in the wake of the ton of posts you've made on Calvinism, have been remotely successful in effecting anything near a consensus nor swaying anyone to adopt Calvinism. All Calvinists that I've ever been exposed to have readily agreed that one can be a regenerate believer without being a Calvinist. At least on that point I agree with them. If being a Calvinist is not requisite to being saved, what difference is it to them whether I'm a Calvinist? What does it matter? I should think it more a worthy talking point to speak to an unregenerate sinner about Christ than to debate the virtues of Calvinism with those who are already in the fold of Christ, but not necessarily of Calvinism. John, please, take a long vacation from these endless debates. They are driving about half of the forum away and the other half nuts! --Hank
2 | Whats up with Judgement, calvinists plz? | Rom 9:21 | justme | 61443
Hank:Having been with the forum about a year, I have been witness to your wise use of exortation. I have seen you show great wisdom when Raven returned as Nevar, which utterly made me feel like a fool. However, in the Christ like example you have exemplified, how to deal with those who have less than honest motives. I feel that when your gentle kind authority is rudely attacked, that upsets me as much as the Calvinism debates. May I say that either side of the issue holds no ground in the Lords Kingdom when their attacking borders on resentment, anger, and eventually hatred. Having delt with these issues in seminary, I believe neither side has it completly locked in on how it all works together. You are correct, those in the fold of Christ can certianly better spend their time in prayer or actually reading the WORD, which I can well use myself. I believe Mr. Lockman would be proud with the way you are watching over the forum, I surely am. Thank you. justme |

Justme, from my heart (including my pacemaker!) I want to say this of you and to you: Rarely in my long life have I encountered a kinder, gentler spirit than that which you have shown time after time, in good times and bad, on this forum. God bless you and keep you under His mighty wing, continue to use you to His glory, and give you peace. --Hank

Hank:I have never had a more encouraging words said to me. The truth is I am a rough piece of old pine plank. God is sanding off the very sharp edges, and for me it seems like there has been little progress. If there is any good that goes through me, it is just Jesus shining His love for me, to who ever stands in His shadow as He sands on this old pime board. I too was a cabinet maker, and carpenter, so this is my word picture of Jesus and me. To Christ be given the praise you have sent me. justme |

My daddy was a carpenter too, justme, and a finer man than he never walked the earth except, of course, the Carpenter of Nazareth. --Hank

Hank: I would not be supprised if he never knew or cared about Calvinism. You are so very blessed to have had a father that you learned so well to follow in His footprints of faith in Christ. justme |

Justme: Oh, but I'm sure my dad KNEW about Calvinism. He even knew about rheumatism. But he never came down with a case of either. --Hank
