1 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | gracefull | 94268
PS You said.. "Quite frankly I would not listen to a man that called Jesus a worm in any context. Call be silly but that is my Savior." Since all scripture is given by inspiriation of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit inspired the Psalmist to write this. Since there is at least adequate reason to believe Jesus was quoting this Psalm to teach us..I would have to contest your statement as a man calling Jesus a worm...It would appear that the Holy Spirit was fortelling Jesus's great suffering and Jesus was affirming that sufering. God bless |

2 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | EdB | 94283
Graceful Once again you go wandering. Yes, yes I know scripture is inspired, I know the writer of Psalm 22 which describes the crucifixion called himself a worm. However it is a long distance from calling oneself a worm and having someone else call you worm particularly when you are the God of Creation. In any case in the example I gave and in the one Radioman2 gave, Copeland was doing it in a descriptive way demeaning our Lord. Had he been quoting Psalm 22 and said Jesus called Himself a worm, that would been one thing. But it is entirely another when one says there was that worm Jesus hanging on the cross then being dragged kicking a s screaming into hell or “The situation seemed hopeless, as Jesus' "emaciated, poured out, little, wormy spirit is down in the bottom of that thing; and the devil thinks he's got Him destroyed." I hope you can see that there is a great distance from what psalm 22 is saying and what Copeland is saying. EdB |

4 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | EdB | 94311
Graceful Why look for truth in a false doctrine? I'm sure it may contain some but why look? If is looks like a duck, quakes like a duck, swims like a duck, eats like a duck why not call it a duck why try to find out if it might be a pig? And why again do you throw the problem back to me? Why can't you admit you were mislead? EdB |

6 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | EdB | 94327
Graceful Now your getting petty. If your so open minded why don't you show us how what Copeland said is Biblically correct or admit you were wrong defending his teaching. Again saying that sin is referred to as being scarlet and worms are scarlet therefore that proves worms mention in psalm 22:6 means the sins of the world, is not proving anything. If it were then anything scarlet would be sin and anything sinful would be a worm. That is convoluting scripture! Don’t say you weren’t given a chance either. Radioman2, John, Darcy, myself and many others have been begging you to give us sound proof of what your saying it true. Because we won’t accept half baked ideas as answers is not a sign we are closed minded but rather your answer does not testify to the truth based on sound Biblical exegesis. EdB |
