1 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | DarcyA | 94086
LDS, What about Salvation, you see where WoF doctrine is as I call it The Hell doctrine is when it comes to there Salvation message. As in the Copeland Message is that Jesus went to hell suffered at the hands of Satan and his demons. And you must believe this in order to be saved. That is where the WoF movment is not of Christ in anyway. My question to you LDS do you believe you must believe in that doctrine to be saved? |

Darci, Where did you hear this? WOF teaches the only criteria for salvation is repentance and confession of the Lord Jesus Christ as saviour. Kenneth Copeland statement of Faith(copied from their web site) We believe in one God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man. We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost. We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life. We believe in divine healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the Redemption. We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers. We believe in the Christian's hope-the soon-coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. God bless |

From copeland saying it. And there is a article at the CRI site that shows this too/ saying it. If you phone up Joyce Meyers prayer line (Something like that) She will tell you that you have to believe that Jesus went to hell and suffered at the hands of satan in order to be saved. (Joyce Meyers is WoF)
4 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | gracefull | 94185
Hi, That is certainly not what her statement of faith states. Nor have I ever heard her even remotely illude to the need to believe the 'hell doctrine'. She states in her statemnt of faith one must have Godly sorrow which leads to repentance which produces the new birth. If someone told you that, it is not her doctrine. One must believe He died on the cross for our sins, and the Aposltes Creed states Jesus 'descended' and as I understand various organizations decide whether that 'descended' was to Sheol or Gehanna, but either way...He descended. Go to http://www.equip.org/free/DC755-2.htm Also Don't take Staement of faith as truth to what they Believe. For example The Mormon statement of Faith say they believe that Jesus is the son of God. But what they leave out is that they believe He is A son of God. |

Hi Darci, I would not base my observations on faith statements alone. Was the call to Joyce Meyer Ministries made by you or were you told this by someone else? Darci, I hope you comments on my post concerning Satan nailed to the cross. I believe it is important that when we make statements concerning other's beliefs or teachings that we back up those accusations. Even scripture requires two or more witnesses. I do not doubt you have been told these things, but I am doubting you researched them yourself. Often when such accusations come, especially through our peers, we tend to just accept them. Sadly, may believers do not research for various reasons. If you have researched it, not just from what you have been taught, but also from the perspective of the 'accused'. God bless |

Graceful I and many others have heard Copleand describe Jesus being tormented in hell by Satan. For you to deny that he said this is foolishness. They have tapes and videos of him teaching this. Now if you want to say you can't accept it until you hear it yourself that is fine go listen to the tapes, but don't say he didn't say it. EdB |

Ed, That was not the topic of my post to Darci. I said I would discuss Jesus on the cross being dscribed as Satan on the cross. The IMPLICATION of Darci's statement is not the TRUTH of the statement. Darci made the statement and I would like her to respond to the scriptures I gave on the subject. God bless |

Ed, Please don't be offended. Darci made a statement of accusation. I was asking her to either back it up with a scriptural discussion of the topic. As believers we need to be very sure when we accuse someone that we are basing it on more than heresay. If hers is based on here say, she needs to look into it further, investigate what she hears, compare, then come to her conclusions. You and I do this even though we don't agree. God bless |
