1 | How do we remit | Matt 7:13 | sharp | 8796
Hi Tim, Faith, repentance, water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Ghost are all included in the plan of salvation. Then we are to walk in the new life that God has given us. Christian water baptism is an ordinance instituted by Jesus Christ. IF it is not important in the plan of God, why did Jesus command it in Matt. 28:19? And why did Peter follow up by saying, "Be baptized everyone of you," and by commanding the Gentiles to be baptized (Acts 2:38; 10:48)? We must remember two points about the importance of water baptism. First, whatever Christ definitely established and ordained cannot be unimportant, whether we understand its significance or not. Second, Christ and the apostles showed the importance of this ordinance by observing it. Jesus walked many miles to be baptized, though He was eithout sin, saying,:For thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness." It is true that water itself does not contain any saving virtue, but God has chosen to include it in His plan of salvation. Peter explained, "Baptism doth now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ" (1 Peter 3:21). According to Luke 3:30, the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized." Since Jesus birth, (you must be born again) to give some light to so we could begin to understand His plan, it would be wise to study the birth process. There is water the child comes forth from, breath taken at birth (spirit-Strong,s from 4154; a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze;). In our natural birth there is effort on the infants part (pushing ect.), we do not earn life at birth nor do we decide how we want to go about it, we just follow the process. Sharp |

Sharp: I agree with your post whole heartedly I see you already quoted 1 Peter 3:21. So theirs not much else I can say. Except I was not aware of just how much misunderstanding their is when it comes to Baptism, I started this long tree with one question, relationship to salvation. At no time will I leave out Baptism in the plan of salvation, one day we will all stand before a Just and Mighty God we will answer for what we teach and preach. I don't think we can go wrong preaching the Act2:38 message. I believe Peter is doing just what Jesus commanded. Preach repentence and Baptism in my Name. In Jesus Name Terry Meek (ezekiel) |

3 | How do we remit | Matt 7:13 | sharp | 8986
Amen, here are some scriptures we see speaking loud and clear right now. If the foundation is not right the building will fall. Hebrew 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and ofresurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.
