Hank: I've studied your post, although you've kinda thrown me a curve with your fancy words. But I still get your drift. But I don't totally agree with what your saying. Because Jesus said YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN OF THE WATER AND THE SPIRIT. Now that look to me like a reference to Water Baptism. Now as I read further down in the passages of John ch 3. Looks to me like Nic being the smart jew he supposed to be. Seems kinda lost on this New Birth thing. Even though he had complete knowledge of Old Testament Law. I still think Jesus was refering to water baptism. ezekiel |

Please don't think Jesus was saying water baptism is a salvation requirement. Jesus explains exactly what he meant in John 3:5 when He said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Just read the very next verse and it will be very clear what Jesus meant. John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Jesus Lives! |
