I'm not Hebrew and I don't follow Jewish practices. Thank you, but no. I don't know you. I don't know your faith. I'll stick to what the Holy Father tells me. |

Scripture ... Matt 4:10, John 4:20-24; Rev 4:10 LisaMarie, Proskuneo (Strong's 4352) is the NT word for worship ... it means kneeling or prostration to do homage (to one) or make obeisance, whether in order to express respect or to make supplication. Does "I'm not Hebrew and I don't follow Jewish practices," mean you do not read or follow the OT? Why did you quote the OT? Yes, listen to the Holy Father and not men, not even me ... -If you search the Scripture, the Holy Father will show you that there is one way to worship, by definition. -That God is not your Friend, when you worship (along with other names and attributes). -There are some activities that aren't related to worship, tho some men say they are. -You must prepare for worship and there is not a specific place. Get a lexicon and concordance and pray alot, Searcher |

You are so funny! Sometimes you speak a little off color, but I would never ask - do you read the bible. Because I know from reading your posts that you do. I know you have the very best intentions but, one of the reasons I tend to stay away from these type of discussion boards is, so many Christians think they have the inside track straight to God. The Saducees and the Pharisees all did in their day. Here are my thoughts: Jesus is my Lord. There is a reason the Old Testament is called the Old Testament. It is the old law. We don't still stone people to death for adultery now do we? Jesus came and gave us a new law. The New Testament. Love one another as I have loved you. Each person has an individual relationship with The Lord. Why did He come to earth? To redeem us? He could have done that without being born. But I believe He came to earth to show us that we CAN have a direct and personal relationship with Him. Mark, Luke, John and Matthew all had similar yet varying views of Jesus. Personal. Individual. I have a lexicon. I have a concordance. I have 7 different versions of the Bible. I pray ALL day. I'm not saying I don't prostrate myself before Him. I do. Oh how I do. Face first and usually weeping with both sorrow for my sins and joy for my blessings. I've got some wonderful stories to tell about those blessings if you'd care to hear some day. Hebrew words do not define my faith. I don't find it wrong that they define yours. That is how The Lord speaks to YOU! Rock on! May He grant you the strength and courage to continue your studies all through your very blessed life! Amen! (and a big hug) Lisa |

Lisa, well done, well said, beautiful and uplifting! Your faith and love shine through your words and light up this forum. You do us honor by your presence here. God bless. On some doctrinal issues Christians often differ, but on the love for the Lord Jesus that you amply show forth in your words, true Christians the world over can join hands with you and with all others in complete unity. --Hank

May The Lord shower blessing upon you. You are very much like my ol pal Hank from the Yahoo Catholic Community Club. If you are not himself, then perhaps you'll help me to not miss him so much. They just got too catty for me so I had to leave. Your friend, Lisa |

Lisa, being as I am an old dyed-in-the-wool Southern Baptist, I assure you the Hank on the Yahoo Catholic Community Club is not I, although I'm sure he's a fine guy, as are most Hanks of this world. May our tribe increase! Thanks for your kind words. --Hank the Baptist
