What does this word 'eiegesis' mean? It's not in my dictionary. It's not anywhere on the web that Google found. You used it in: "I question others when they eiegesis Scripture." Your brother in Christ, Russ |

Eisegesis (my typo before) is the approach to Bible interpretation where the person makes the Bible says what they want. | ||||||

Thank you, the typo is why I could not find it. Hank "The Bible Answerman" (on XM radio channel 170 at 18:00 eastern) also uses some huge words that I do not quite understand. I listen to him, but don't understand what he's saying. I didn't study those words for my college career path which is in Information Technology. I'm a network administrator for an automobile dealer. This job gives me enough time to read and this forum, among others, while I'm at work. I very rarely even get on a computer at home any more, I'm busy reading and studying the Bible. Thanks once again, Your brother in Christ, Russ |
