1 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | figgy | 93914
I should clarify my sentence: I said originally "God is sovereign and can and will DO ANYTHING that he pleases regardless of our actions. We cannot control Him (however Biblical our desires may be) through any type of "personal faith development" (ie formulas)." What I meant by this was that often times we may think with all of hearts that what we desire (whatever it may be) is God's will for us. However, it may NOT BE God's will for us and no amount of faith will move him if it is not His will. I am in whole hearted agreement with you that God does not contradict himself. Yes - GOD IS FAITHFUL! He does not break his promises. I am sorry if I somehow conveyed the message that I believe otherwise. -Figgy |

2 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | gracefull | 93921
Hi Figgy, That is the message I have been given at times here on the forum. But as a last footnote, I believe God places His desires in our heart if we are sincere. Those who are not sincere seek their own desires. But WOF encourages surrender and prayer and meditation in the Word to place ourselves in the position of having God's desire in our heart. Other's, however, can't judge our heart. Only God. God bless |

3 | A FALSE TEACHING? Yes / No | Matt 8:5 | figgy | 93927
Hi Gracefull- I think we have come full circle in our discussion. I would have to go back to my first or second note to you in which it seems to me that you do not represent the WOF movement as I have seen it represented by many others (including a few on this forum, and the leaders of it - Copeland, Hagin, Hinn). Perhaps you and I have more common ground than originally suspected regardless of my views on WOF. God Bless! Figgy |
