Subject: Renewal AGAIN to repentance? |
Bible Note: I'm kinda jumping in in the middle here, but I wanted to say something about crossing the line. I have heard this all my life, people saying what sin or how many sins will cause me to lose my salvation. To me the answer is obvious. If you can lose your salvation, it can not be lost by a sin or any number of sins. Your were not saved by stopping sin in your life or by not committing a certian sin, YOU WERE SAVED BY FAITH in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. If you can lose your salvation, the only way it could be lost would be to lose your faith, or stop believing that the death and resurrection of Christ is sufficent. I hope this makes sense, it does to me. Eph. 2:8 "For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." We are not saved by works, we are not saved by stopping sin, we are saved because we took at His word that He would accept us because of what Jesus did on the cross. later...wdc |
