Subject: "Once Saved Always Saved" |
Bible Note: Greetings GloriaLynn! In all 3 of your examples and the Scripture that you have cited, you have mentioned that, in a relationship between Jesus Christ and a believer in Him, that these are references for possibilities that a person can be totally saved but lose their salvation. I would disagree.. :-) In all three of your examples, the judgment is from the Lord, not from man. Also, the Bible tells us that only God can see what man's true intentions are, only He can weigh the devotion of a person's heart. (1 Sam. 16:7, Romans 8:27) Therefore, I conclude that a person who does not truly have a heart of repentance before the Lord and who truly has not experienced a "circumcision" of the heart by the Holy Spirit will not be saved. A person can claim to be saved and be a Christian and even do good works! But I believe that a person who has once confessed Christ and turns away was not truly saved to begin with. And it is my interpretation that all three of your examples support this view! Blessings to you, Nolan |
