Subject: cult by what definition? |
Bible Note: Unfortuanately it cannot. for the simple reason that Even though the catholic church admits that God is triune and say that Jesus came in the flesh they also hold to other erroneous teachings. Likewise even though the word of faith admits that Jesus came in the flesh they too are considered to hold to an erroneous view of his coming. It's like everybody says. Yes,yes, I agree to that. But somebody else says, no you really don't because you don't belong to our group OR we don't think that's what you really mean by it. That's why we've got whole groups of organizations devoted to proving everyone else is wrong. And they say that Paul encouraged us to devote our time to proving each other wrong. I personally cannot find a calling in the Bible that's specifically devoted to hunting heresy. Paul dealt with it, but he also planted churches. etc. He was actively fulfilling the great commission. NOT just telling others how to do it. Those who can't do teach. Yes that probably offends many people, I'm sorry. Truth sometimes hurts. Someone told me once, Winning souls is no sign that you are genuine and correct in your doctrine. Or even a Christian. That may be so, but NO GENUINE CHRISTIAN doesn't win souls and makes that his aim. Christianity is not proving your doctrine but "doing the will of my Father." "Working the works of him that sent Me." How many souls are won into the kingdom? "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, and make disciples of all nations." That should be the end of every true ministry. Jesus said let the tares and wheat grow together. Lest you loose some wheat. In the end, The Lord knows those who are His, and let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity. James 3:13 |
