Subject: cult by what definition? |
Bible Note: In the Andes How much study of the Roman Catholic church have you actually done? Are you speaking from first hand knowledge, experience, opinion, or what you have heard others say? I think before we call anything, anything we have to had studied it completely. We must understand the founding concepts, understand majority practices, understand minority practices, understand what measures have been taken to bring non conformers into line and what is the intent and direction of the present course. I agree there are some very heretical practices within some Catholic churches. Is this okayed by Rome? Absolutely not. The same holds true for most any denomination there are heretical practices taking place in many churches today, do you call Methodist, Presbyterians, Baptist, Assemblies of God cults? As for the money issue no my friend I have no interest to discuss it with you, I'm sure you know about it than I do, have much more than I do and are far more interested in it than I'm. On that issue I yield to you. On the issue of Word of Faith, yes I will discuss it with you. It is a false teaching and if you really buy into word of faith you unfortunately do hold one of those two views of God. Most probably the first. You may not realize it, you may even deny it, but the fact is that is exactly what WoF teaches. I know you will not take this advice but read Christianity in Crisis and Counterfeit Revival. Read them not from the stand point of what is wrong with what Hank says but concentrate on what you can agree with. Then reread them. My friend you may just have your eyes opened to truth. EdB EdB |
