Bible Note: Hi EdB, I believe that the confusion for you is in Luke 24:34. I would say that the statement in that verse is from the men that were on the road to Damascus, which included Simon. They then related the things on the road and how He was recognized by them. I believe that we can know by the comparison of these passages, again, that we should be looking for (Spirit). In Luke 24:39 Jesus says "See My hands and My feet, that I am (He)." "Touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." Mark 16:6 says, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for (Jesus) the Nazarene [the man], who has been crucified." 7 But go, tell His disciples and Peter [Simon], 'He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him/, just as He said to you.'"
