Bible Note: Ray The two verses you quoted John 6:4 and John 6:10 John 6:4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was near. John 6:10 Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. I don't see where your question, " We might talk about John 6:4 and John 6:10 and try to decide who this one [One] is who may or may not want to be known publicly at this time. Is there a difference between "He Himself "[NASB] and "He also" [NKJ] for John 6:10?" fits. I don't see a He himself and He also in either verse. Are you possibly talking about John 6:4 and John 6:6? In that case I think the verse should read, But this He (Jesus) said to test him (Phillip), for He (Jesus) Himself (Jesus) knew what He (Jesus) would do. That kind of blows your three occurances per verse theory. I guess the last He could be Phillip since Jesus also knew what Phillip was going to do. EdB |
