Subject: short and long version of Mark 16:8 |
Bible Note: Hi EdB, I gave you the wrong references for consideration. I meant to say John 7:4 and 7:10. John 7:4, "For no (o)One does anything in secret, when (h)He (h)Himself seeks to be known publicly. If You [sic] do these things, show Yourself [sic] to the world." John 7:10, "But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, then He Himself also went up, not publicly, but as it were, insecret." Sorry about the confusion and typo. By the way, I do not have a "three occurances per verse theory". However, in John 7:4 we can infer a triune (p)Person. The NASB reads, "For no one does anything in secret, when he himself seeks to be known publicly." Also, if we leave off the "Himself" of John 7:10 we have three pronouns of Deity for verses 9 and 10. "And having said these things to them, He stayed in Galilee. 10 But when His brothers had gone up to the feast, the He also went up, not publicly, but as it were, in secret." From the heart, Ray |
