Bible Note: Hello Ed, The point I was making with this verse was that in the 'kingdom of God' God is concerned with our natural, fleshly needs as well as the spiritual and has made provision for them. This verse was a response to your statement concerning the kingdom being a 'spiritual' kingdom. While it certainly is a spiritual kingdom we are in, provision of our physical needs are provided, not just the spiritual. You said: "This is where convolution begins people are seeking a healing not the kingdom," First of all, your statement is addressing the 'gimme gimme' believers but I attribute this to spiritual immaturity and a lack of knowledge of the Word, just as children only view their parents as 'providers' and the issue of 'relationship' comes with maturity. An interesting consideration here is that we are already IN the kingdom of God if we are born again, and the provisions are in the kingdom...not seeking the kingdom. "Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:" Because like you we place our emphasis on our pysical well being instead of our spiritual well being. Speak for yourself Ed. You are presuming where my emphasis is. God's promises, spiritual and physical were given to us in order that we can fulfill His call on our lives, AND because He loves us. I will point out again that Jesus's healing ministry was huge! "The men you so admire the false teachers as I call them what do they teach seeking God or seeking a healing?" Odviously this question was not meant to be answered, because it is a statement of a conclusion I disagree with... God bless |
