Subject: WHERE IS YOUR COMPASSION? |
Bible Note: You know something Ed? You and the others who do not believe in this faith momement are going to be held responsible by God for not telling me and others in the faith movement that we are not supposed to have anything in this world. Before I believed like you. I did not have anything other than what I had earned by hard work. I lived in a tumbledown shack down on Poverty Alley. Before that I just had enough to get by on in Starvation Hill. But I had the Word of God and I just followed what others in the same movement with me had. Then along came this good old boy that started to preach on having what God said I could have. His intrepretation. Now I started to believe those silly scriptures just might have another meaning than the ones that I had been taught all those years. And I started moving up in the world. First it was a new car, then another one, then a big five bedroom house, followed by not just one mind you, but three Rvs. Then I got a boat. Not a big one mind you but one that I wanted. One I asked God for. Then I finally received my ultimate challenge. I stood on the Word of God for finances. Bad Word, Ed. Finances! Leaves a bad taste in your mouth doesn't it? I was making just enough to get my family by on and I happened to run across Malachi 3:6. Know what it said Ed? It said TRY GOD! To me it said, CHALLENGE ME FLOYD! See if I won't open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you won't have enough room for it. Know what Ed. I challenged Him. Guess what Ed. I have that big 5 bedroom home in Southern California. Guess what the Lord impressed me to buy it for? Fifty seven thousand dollars Ed. Want to guess what its worth on the market now Ed? Oh, by the way Ed. I got rid of those three RV's that God let me have. Someone told me I wasn't supposed to have them. I gave them away. Guess what Ed. You can't give away a gift from God, He has the audacity to give it back to you, "Good Measure, pressed down, and shaken together." I got five new cars now Ed. I still have a boat but this one was given to me without charge. The church I was going to a few months ago did something that no one else does. When it came time to give out tithes, the Pastor, a faith man, made us repeat, this little thing. "I have new cars in my driveway, new clothes in my closets with the tags still on them, all my cabinets are full of food, and all my refrigerators are full of food. All my bank accounts are full to over-flowing." Guess what Ed? I have five new cars in my driveway. All my closets are full of new clothes, and by the way Ed, that Pastor, He owns six clothing stores with clothes that start in the one thousand dollar range. Every cabinet in my house is full to overflowing with food. I have to give it away to the poor Ed because I can't close my cabinets. My closets are full of clothes with new tags still on them. My bank accounts, and Ed, I have a bunch of them cause they will only allow me so much in each one,are full to overflowing. But this faith message doesn't work and you unbelievers are going to stand at the judgement seat of God for not telling us believers that we are not supposed to have them. One more thing Ed. In 1995 I was making thirty-three thousand dollars a year and I was laid off. I prayed and believed for a new job at higher pay. The Lord told a minister to tell me to double my tithes and I would have a job in thirty days. I did! Guess what Ed. In thirty days I got a new job making over 100 thousand dollars a year. Course I'm going to have to give it all back cause I am not supposed to believe that the Bible says I'm to have anything. |
