Bible Question:
Dear Saints, Is salvation instantaneous, progressive, or both? In Jesus' name, charis |
Bible Answer: Charis, Venturing forth from the briar patch with caution I will suggest that justification, sanctification, salvation be considered in the context of family life since St Paul in Romans and the Gospels tell us that by grace, faith, baptism (controversies in those areas aside)we are made children of God as if by being born again into or adopted into His family. My experience of family life is one of a continuum of growth and development in relationship with all family members but especially with the Head of the family. Some people are known to rebel abandon the families into which they were born or adopted. Some then later repent and return, others do not. Others have various experiences peculiar to their personalities and place in the family, etc. Just a suggestion on a method of and exploring this question. Emmaus |
