Subject: What were, are, they filled with? |
Bible Note: Hi Justme, I give thanks for you and make mention of you in my prayers. I also want to go on from Ephesians 1:16 to 17, "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit [sic] of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him." I believe that we are given holy spirit by the Giver, the Father of glory, knowing that Christ and the Father are one Spirit. Our faith is in the Lord Jesus as we have come to know Him. Ephesians 1:15-17. I wanted to write you again because you put a lot of thought and time I would think into your post to me. I wanted to express agreement with you in 1) We don't have to speak in tongues to prove our salvation, 2) other gifts are just as important, 3) We shouldn't demand any one gift. You wrote that spiritual gifts are the results of maturing in our faith and these gifts are to be used for the benefit of the church, being His witnesses.(not in those same words). Can you write more of how "spiritual gifts" are the "results"? From the heart, Ray |
