Subject: What were, are, they filled with? |
Bible Note: Forgive me, Ray, but in all these scriptures listed you do not see the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity promised to take up His abode in each believer as Jesus promised? Tim Moran...where are you? How is Holy Spirit translated in the New Testament? According to my Complete Jewish Bible all of the above verses Holy Spirit is translated 'Ruach HaKodesh'. And in the King James, New King James, and NAS it is translated Holy Spirit. "Gracefull, it appears to me that you were led through the book of Acts while a young adult. That to me would be where you were filled with the holy spirit and received the word of truth. We all are commanded to be filled with the holy spirit." Ray, are you saying to be filled with the holy spirit is to have our human spirit made holy through teh blood? While I agree with this if you are speaking of the new birth, i do not agree with your interpretation that the Holy Spirit Jesus was speaking of is our spirit being made holy. Both my experience and scripture bear witness. I must stay with the interpretaions I trust on this one. When I capitalize pronouns such as Word, it is to convey a message of my belief, the Word being the living Holy Spirit breathed revelation of the person Jesus Christ. An enhancement for communication purposes. I will be out of town for a few days. My mother-in-law is going home to be with the Lord. Her homecoming day! God bless |
