Subject: Does speaking in tongues come naturally? |
Bible Note: You state that:"After the Apostles and the ones receiving these miraclous gifts died, the Gospel didn't need kind of sign because of the advent of the Bible and the fact everyone knew of this history. This was also predicted by Paul in 1 Cor 13." This is an assumption and not a fact and you should state it as an opinion. As for 1 Cr. 13. It is known as the love chapter. Paul speeks of tongues ceasing to support the crux of his message;that in the absence of love the Spirit will withdraw and the gifts with Him. Verse 1 "If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal."Verse 8 " Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away." Following your interpretation of verse eight than I suppose there is no need for knowledge either since the death of the Apostles. Blessed Be, Chochma |
