" I don't see a lot of description of the activities of those 120 individuals prior to the events of Pentecost. My guess is that there was far less theatrics than we see on your typical TBN fare. What passes for "praise and worship" in many circles bears a lot of similarity to what one would find at your typical secular rock concerts today. Mindless and empty and sensationalistic. The problem with praise and worship in the 21st century American church has little to do with the energy level in the congregation, and much more to do with the absence of knowledge about and reliance in the God they claim to be praising. --Joe! |
