Blessed Nolan! Thank you so much! That helps a lot with my understanding of how we can have seemingly such divided views. I say seemingly because after study, I think our views are more similar than different. I was reading Deuteronomy last night. About the people coming into the promised land. It was so very sad that Moses was not allowed to lead his people into it. The Lord was really angry with him for is disobedience (striking the rock to get water rather than talking to it, the way God instructed.) God shows him the promised land and then he "gives up the ghost." As it were. But we know, even though he sinned and the Lord was angry with him, he still went to heaven. When Jesus transfigures, on the mountain, into Elijah and Moses. Thus, we know Moses is with God. Deuteronomy (aka: Book of the Law) is a pretty scary thing. The Lord says Obey These My Laws or a blight upon you. But the blight is only temporary. Until we ask for forgiveness. Until we return our hearts to Him. The Lord is merciful. Lisa |

Greetings Lisa! You are very welcome! I really enjoyed writing that post last night.. :) Perhaps by reading and knowing the "impending doom" that the Israelites would be faced with, we have gained a better insight into why/how they became "so religious".. :) Blessings to you! Nolan |
