New Covenant 7777 - Even though I've been a student of the English language for something over 50 years and have read more than a few English-language books, magazines, newspapers, billboards and automobile license plates in my day, your language confuses me greatly. Would you mind terriblly to illumine your Post 143472 with a few definitions and, where applicable, explanations, of such words and phrases as follow: ....... (1) What on earth do you mean when you say "world/mammon system"? ....... (2) Exactly what is this thing you call "Apostate Christian"? (3) You use the term, "Jesus, Paul and all other True Crucified Christians in the Bible." (a) What is a "True Crucified Christian"? (b) How does Christ fit into this line-up? Is Christ a Christian? ..... (4) Who is this bunch of "Professing Christians" (whatever that means in your context) who are "building their towers of academic accomplishments"? What towers? What academic accomplishments? (5) What do you mean by "Physical Jews"? Are they a breed apart from, let's say, "spiritual" Jews? Do these "Physical Jews" have a counterpart in "Physical Gentiles"? ....... You closed your post with the hope that "the truths that Christ has shared through me are edifying." I am far from being convinced that you are the mouthpiece of Christ, but I am completely sure that your post has not edified me in the least. --Hank

Ditto! And I believe you would agree, Hank, there is no such thing as an "apostate Christian". A person is either one or the other, not both. To use the term apostate Christian is to demonstrate that one does not know the meaning of one or both words. Grace to you, John |

Indeed I would agree, John (Kalos), that an "Apostate Christian" is as much a contradiction of terms as, say, using an expression such as "regenerate infidel" or something of the sort. How often, alas, we see on these pages certain "pseudo-theological" terms -- and long dissertations in their wake -- profferred in the obvious hope of projecting profound theological erudition, private revelation and supernatural insight; but invariably they turn out to be nothing more than smoke and mirrors, glitter and fluff -- sheer gobbledygook and deceptive withal. --Hank

Greetings Hank! I remember when I was in college that an author came to speak to us about the gift of 'carnality'. :-( He tried to build the case that some Christians acutally have a gift of carnality. Since that day, I realize that anything is possible! ;-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Hi, Tim - Paul must have forgotten about the gift of carnality and jumped straight into his list of spiritual gifts :-) Perhaps he'll mention it when he gets around to updating his letters! --Hank
