Subject: Saved by belief or belief and baptism? |
Bible Note: Coty, Greetings and Gods best to you. Even as disciples of Jesus Christ we get it wrong. We are not immune to sentimentality and things that we may or may not have learned in the past. The question arises is how do these things stand the test of Gods Word, what do they look like in view of light of Gods Word? Things will often look much different when exposed to the light of Gods Word. Are we willing to let Gods Word speak (2Peter 1:20,21)for itself? Are we willing to be 2Timothy 2:15 disciples of Jesus Christ? Are we willing to do the work? Phil 2:12 Paul instructs us to work out our salvation. God has given us the tools we need to do so.They are not much good if we dont use them. We I do believe can be resolved and united on the vast majority of things that we chop each other up about. Romans chapter 14 is solid scripture because we do and will encounter things that are disputable, but when biblical principle is applied in a godly manner much of what we find as disputable is'nt so disputable after all.
