Mark 16:16 doesn't say that you are saved before baptism, does it? It makes sense that belief comes before baptism, but that's not all or Jesus wouldn't have said baptism too. I don't want to be responsible for taking away from the words of Jesus. In Christian love, imuvhim |

Other OLD post ... Mark 16:16 does say that you are saved before baptism ... when it says "he who has disbelieved shall be condemned" ... it does not say "he who has believed and has not been baptized shall be condemned". Moreover, Acts 10:44-48 proves that salvation was before water baptism, as does Acts 2:38. Read my posts for these passages. |

Baptism goes hand and hand with salvation, baptism is the sharing of Christ death Rom 6 chapter, so if we share in Christ death we shall also share in his resurrection, so baptism is very important, remember in 1 John there are 3 witnesses on Earth the Spirit, the water, the blood and all of these agree, neither one is to be treated a less important, which on was greater Christ death, his burial or his resurrection, all were of equal importance.
