Here are the Tenets of faith as outlined in Kenneth hagin ministries website Aslo truncated. As I said, they are almost Identical. Especially the healing one. We Believe.... THE SCRIPTURES - The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine THE GODHEAD - Our God is one, but manifested in three Persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being coequal (Deut. 6:4;Phil. 2:6). God the Father is greater than all; the Sender of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14). The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1; John 1:18; John 1:14). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 14:16;John 15:26). MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION - Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. The Bible says "...all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God," and "...There is none righteous, no, not one." (Rom. 3:10; 3:23). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God . Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Eph. 2:8-10). ETERNAL LIFE AND THE NEW BIRTH - Man's first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life (2 Cor. 7:10; John 3:3-5; 1 John 5:12). WATER BAPTISM - Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST - The Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance. SANCTIFICATION - The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ's return. DIVINE HEALING - Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF OUR LORD - The angels said to Jesus' disciples, "...This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." His coming is imminent. When He comes, "...The dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air..." . Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years (Rev. 5:10;20:6). HELL AND ETERNAL RETRIBUTION - The one who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The lake of fire is literal. The terms "eternal" and "everlasting," used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the Presence of God . |

In the Andes, I came across this article that you might want to review. It's quite detailed, but may prove to be helpful. Here is the site; www.tgm.org/herseyHunters.html type exactly as above. God bless |

Inmyheart For me to get to the site I needed to go to www.tgm.org then select heresy hunters from the selection screen on the left. Let me say I pray you provided this link as a visual demonstration to IntheAndes of how really messed up WoF thinking is. The writer tries first to make the point that all anti WoF are also anti Pentecostal/Charismatic. Nothing could be further from the truth and the writer has no basis for making the statement. I’m Pentecostal! The writer goes on and further makes the assertion that anti-WoF’ist are also Calvinistic, Reformed and Cessationists again nothing could be further from the truth. The writer states to reject WoF distinctives is to reject the Arminian/Wesleyan viewpoint. I hold a Arminian/Wesleyan viewpoint and have defended it many times both here on the forum and outside. The writer begins by saying the WoF has been accused of adopting the metphysical philosophy while there is nothing metaphysical within it. First WoF comes from the teachings of E.W. Kenyon and there is no one that can honestly say, without giggling a little, that Kenyon wasn’t involved in the metaphysical. If they can they haven’t read his book “New Creation Realities”(bizarre at best). I have personally heard a WoF teacher give this an example of the power of faith or lack thereof. Their house wasn’t being cooled. They went out to check the outside air conditioner unit and when they found it not running “declared it broken”. They then taught that was their “error.” They had incorrectly exercised their “faith” and spoke the broken air conditioner into being. They went on to explain the warm house and non running unit were simply manifestations put there by Satan to deceive them into confessing the Air conditioner was broken. Satan wanted to steal from them money they could have used on other things. Had they instead exercised their faith correctly and confessed that the Air conditioner was in fact running correctly and cooling the house, Satan’s deception would have been broken and they would have realized the house was really cool. That my friends is metaphysical philosophy at it highest level. This article that IntheAndes was referred to was written by a writer that is so deceived he doesn’t realize it. However the evidence can plainly be seen. The scriptures he uses to validate WoF quotes are really revealing how very wrong the WoF teaching is. The writer gives an example: “E.W. Kenyon wrote, “We have sung ‘Nearer the cross’ and we have prayed that we might be ‘Nearer the cross’ but the cross has no salvation in it. It is a place of failure and defeat” (Advanced Bible Course, p.279) [emphasis mine]. As usual, the others merely echo Kenyon’s ideas about this. What the Bible says: “May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Galatians 6:14). “I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing but to those who are being saved it is the Power of God” “ Correct me if I’m wrong here but didn’t Kenyon say the cross was nothing more than a place of failure and defeat? And doesn’t Paul plainly declare the cross is the “Power of God” but is looked at as foolishness to those that are perishing. Can’t we conclude Kenyon has a very wrong impression of the cross? This is just one of many problems within the article. I think Inmyheart did us all a favor, by finding this article. It clearly demonstrates how very wrong WoF is and it is done by someone trying to defend the teaching. Sounds like a Holy Spirit thing to me! Didn’t Jesus say the Holy Spirit would reveal the truth? Submitted in truth and love with the payer and hope eyes will be opened and lives set free. EdB |

EdB, Greetings, and thank you for responding. I was actually posting, only, to In the Andes. I also support the movement that you or any others may reject. With so many views and beliefs on topics such as; Baptism, Holy Spirit(Ghost), Rapture(pre-mid-post), etc., a person must make a stand. But the bottom line is that the evidence of God in a persons life is...LOVE! For an example, you may agree or disagree on my views, and vise-versa, but I not going to be, and I don't expect anyone else to be critical. However, my main reason, if you must know, was to point out what the last paragraph, and particularly the last sentence of the article, which states, "If you desire to have life and peace, stay with the Word of God and stay away from those who make it their life's work to critcize others." Once again, thanks for responding. God bless |

Inmyheart As one that was once caught up in the deception of WoF, as one that has to deal with the broken lives of people that WoF has destroyed I believe I must present the truth in hopes it will open the eyes of others before it is too late. I have spent many of my evenings weeping and crying and just loving victims of this hideous deception. People that had given everything, people that had confessed every sin and confessed their faith that God would heal their child only to see that child die. I watch helplessly as they blame themselves and spouses because there had to be hidden sin, something held back or a wrong confession. I know what WoF lies can do in a persons life. I have seen what self guilt can do. I also know that some of the biggest WoFer’s go as far as leaving this country to have operations so the fact that they are sick is not leaked. Or the ones that claim to be healthy yet have serious medical conditions and are under doctor care. I know of the turmoil in their families with rebellious sons and daughters. I also know how many of them talk outside the pulpit, deciding who should take the offering based on how big an offering one each one has brought in. I have seen the tragedy first hand. Forgive me for trying to reach out. Truly I love you and pray that God will open your eyes. EdB |

EdB, I said that I support the movement that you and others reject. I'm not "caught up" into anything that you write of. I'm not following a Jim Jones movement. You write that "you must present the truth," I know the truth as Jesus answered in John 14:6. If you know anyone who is caught up in what you described in your post, by all means, do reachout to them. Thank you for your concern and for you reply. God bless |

Inmyheart Bless you, but if you support WoF you are caught up into something you believe to be true but is not. I pray that the bubble never breaks but it always will. My heart is burdened for you. Inmyheart when time comes where your WoF teaching falls apart and you wonder what is going on. Remember this discussion and remember there are people that have gone through exactly the same thing and have come out as refined gold. There are many praying that your eyes will be opened. Be Blessed and Be a Blessing. EdB |
