we have denominations because no two people on earth agree about every little detail. And if we don't agree, i'm taking my stuff and going to start my own little group. Word of Faith is a term negatively used to describe a group of christians who believe that it is always God's will that we be healthy wealthy and wise. (yes that is overly simplified) Kalos will probably show you some skills he learned in kindergarden and cut and paste a link or whole article for you. It will be very informative and fun. |

If you follow the history of Denominations it seems that most of them start out with some authentic move of God, but how quickly people set up camp around that move or revelation or manifistation that the lord gives them. It seems that they start worshiping the very thing God has given them instead of continuing on in the worship of the Lord himself. When the lord moves on only a small remnant that truly longs for him comes forth while the rest have built alters around there beliefs and doctrines. And then time does it's ugly work and forms inaccurate mindsets and traditions through generations of denominational teaching. Then as the lord moves in the small remnant they all to soon have to make the same chioce of moving or setting up a new denomination (which the root word is division...no suprise eh?) | ||||||

Interesting that the root word for denomination is division. Didn't Jesus say a house divided against itself cannot stand? |

Yes I believe our Lord did make that statement. I believe he was actually talking about the enemy when he said that, but I believe it goes both ways. It is a bitter pill for the church to swallow, but for the Bride to become spotless and glorious it must be understood and action must be taken to unify the body of Christ. 17You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Rec 3:17-18 I actually found out that the Eyesalve he is talking about there is more like a plaster that would harden on your eyes and cause you to not be able to see physically whatsoever... |
