John Once again John I would label it heresy and I would never say they are Christians. What I'm talking about is ones that invent doctrine on what Radioman 2 calls non essentials but they still effect the way we view God. What then? EdB |

My denomination does not require strict adherence on non-essential doctrines. The sole requirement for membership is a person's complete reliance on Jesus Christ for salvation. Then what? It is the calling of the pastor and teaching elders to teach the Word and to answer any questions that concern the doctrines which are particular to our denomination. Problems arise when differences arise in the area of "essentials". In extreme cases, church discipline must be exercised and an unrepentant member may be ex-communicated. John |
